One of the most important decisions in timber management is the selection of trees for harvest. Criteria needed to consider when selecting trees for harvest include: owner objectives, timber markets, tree size tree vigor and condition, maximizing desirable regeneration while minimizing harvest damage, access wildlife habitat and years until next harvest.

Once we have marked the timber we provide the landowner with a list of trees that have been marked and a minimum estimate that we feel the timber is worth. We will schedule and arrange the bid opening and also provide the landowner with a contract to be used between them and the timber buyer. We will periodically check on the progress of the harvesting and check for contract compliance.
